“ Marine Life ”, our theme for this year's festival reflects the cultural identity and daily lives of Sanur community . With Sanur's coastal area of 6 kilometers in length, its people rely their sustaining lives to the richness of mother nature's resources. The great numbers of tourists who come to visit the island sheds a new hope for a better Sanur. The challenge, then, is to balance the local culture and habits of Sanur people with those of the tourists'.
“ Marine Life” is in line with Indonesia's national campaign ”Visit Indonesia Year 2009” which takes on marine, cruise and MICE as the main concerns . Through Sanur Village Festival 2009, we hope to contribute something for Indonesian tourism and provide a memorable event for everyone.

| SANUR OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT 2009 |
The Balibeach Golf Course announces the area's most prestigious golfing tournament of the year, the Sanur Open Golf Tournament on 14 and 15 August 2009 at Balibeach Golf Course . This event is in conjunction with the Fourth Annual Sanur Village Festival. Some of the top local and national professional golf competitors are expected to be present.
“ This the Grand Slam of Golf tournament in Bali ,” added Grace Jeanie, Public Relations Manager of Balibeach Golf Course. She believes that such event would help to rebuild Bali Tourism image and Golf to become another propelling reason for tourists to consider and return to Bali, especially Sanur.
The award presentation ceremony and gala dinner at Balibeach Golf Course will be a fanfare. The grand prize features 2 luxurious cars and Rp. 100,000,000 cash money . |

| ASIA AFRICA FOUNDATION'S ART & CULTURE |
Asia Africa Foundation's Art and Culture Program is aiming to make each Asian and African countries proud of their respected culture and other countries' heritage .This year, Asia Africa Foundation will arrange some events to promote itself and the countries it represents. One of the events is Asia Africa Art and Culture Festival that will be held simultaneously with Sanur Village Festival on 12 to 16 August 2009 . This is an effort from both major forces to present the best for the Sanur Village Festival enthusiasts from around the world. The showcasing of art and culture of the countries will enrich our knowledge and expose more cultural events and performance to the societies.
