Art Program
of Sanur Village Festival 2009
For two consecutive years, Sanur Village Festival's Art Program concentrated in paintings and sculptures exhibitions. In 2007, for example, there was an exhibition entitled A[r]tmosphere in several galleries in Sanur area, featuring works from some respected artist s from Bali .
And in 2008, there was also “Green”, an exhibition of paintings and sculptures of appointed artist s held in a designated venue in Sanur emphasizing on works that are inspired by nature and its preservation.
This year, Sanur Village Festival's Art Program is upholding an absolutely different theme from the previous years. Some celebrated artist s are invited to display their works of art and artist ic activities in available public spaces throughout Sanur area in the Public Artwork Program.
The program will exhibit artworks displayed in outdoor venues merge with some scenes from the daily activities in Sanur village. These con temp orary artworks will depict Sanur beach and marine environment visually and physically.
By exhibiting these innovative artworks in different locations in Sanur, like, on the ceiling, the shore, available public places and amidst community activities, this program is aiming to create a unique and artist ic ambience in the renowned Sanur area. |
